The Problem with being Overweight.

For many people the problem of being overweight commences in the mind, exists in the mind, should be dealt with in the mind and terminated in the mind. The body will always follow the mind. Your conditioned habits as to eating were formed in your brain and that is the place to deal with them.

It is the brain which makes one think one wants to eat and where the desire to eat or to not eat is to be found. Thoughts trigger the desire to eat, be it because of boredom, habit, depression, self image, impulse or mental conditioning. Thinking habits in the brain can make one anorexic or overweight.

Everybody knows that there are people who can eat just as much as them and not put on weight. Some people can eat masses of food and not put on weight, while others eat little and retain weight efficiently so the problem is not as simple as just counting calories. Some people metabolize their fats and sugars very well while others do not seem to. Some people even find that at some times in their life, due to circumstances, they put on weight while at other times they do not have a problem. An interesting example is pining. During pining some people easily lose interest in food and find it very easy to drop many kilos. Pining and poor self image take place in your mind.

Deal with the problem in the mind and the body will follow without effort, willpower or concentration.

Diets cannot work long term because they do not impact or change the thinking patterns in the mind. Quick fixes do not last. Steady moderate weight loss over a prolonged period with the changing of habit and desire patterns has a more lasting effect as it gives the body and mind cause and time to accustom to the new thinking and regime.

Many people like to be in a supportive weight loss course with like minded and determined people when losing weight. The Weight Loss Game is a program designed to assist a person who is ready to lose weight by being surrounded by a group of like minded and similarly motivated people set upon losing a specific amount of weight in a certain time.

There are now still less than 10 books available which work on this theme of losing weight by using the power of the subconscious mind. We introduce you to those books during the 13 week course but we don't sell them (yet). There are also tapes which have been designed to access the subconscious mind to facilitate weight loss by reprogramming the subconscious mind in areas of appetite, self image, stress control and response, self confidence, desire to exercise, depression etc etc. We introduce you to these tapes also during the course but we don't sell them (yet)

Losing weight is not about knowing how to do or why you should do it or how to do it it but by the reprogramming of the thinking and habit patterns resident in the subconscious mind. This can be difficult to do on your own or by just reading books and gaining cognitive knowledge. Books work primarily on the conscious - unless something “clicks” and gets through to the subconscious – and stays there. You have to graft the new responses into the motivation, drive and habit areas of the brain, not the "knowledge library" area of the brain.

Many people are simply waiting for a good enough reason to come along to lose their excess weight. In the Weight Loss Game we give you that good enough reason. Ten of them – ten techniques without necessarily exercising or dieting (though you can do either), two directly for the mind and two for the body and six others – yes, there are other ways but most have to do with the mind.

This is a course in which you will be able to say "I'm ready, I've got the incentive, I've got the framework, I've got the plan, I've got the support group, I'm going to get paid and I'm going to show them. This time I'm going to succeed. I've just been waiting for a good enough reason and the right system".

After you have achieved your goal you can either go on to join a second course to achieve a further goal of further weight loss or go on to the maintenance game which follows.

At the moment we need about 10 – 15 people to start the first course in Sydney and when we have gathered those people we start. At the moment we have 8 “guinea pigs” and need 2-7 more.

The Weight Loss Game will be commencing on Saturday October 29th at 10 a.m. at Concord and you can come to a free introductory talk or even chat to meet about it beforehand over coffee, no charge. Course “cost” for 13 weeks will be $200 for the first course which goes into the pot to be returned to the winners. We may go for longer if people want and if needs be. Be paid to lose weight. Your winnings:

1) Depending upon how many reach their goal, half, or more or maybe less, of the aggregate total participation fees paid that have gone into the pot will be shared pro rata by those who achieve their goal and

2) You can keep half, or more, or less, of the money you raise from sponsors.

Work it out: lose 10 kg at $2 per kg collecting from 20 sponsors and you raise 10 x $2 x 20kg / 2 = $200 for charity + $200 for yourself + a pro rata (the more you lose the more you get) share in the sum total of all participation fees paid.

MY WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY

Just for a bit of fun and for your interest and education (as I’m a former primary teacher) I’ve put in a graph of my weight loss so far which people have started to notice, all without that unnecessary exercise that the so called experts say you have to have which you don’t keep up. I am losing .5 kg per week and my target is about 71 kg which will be a loss of 15 kg which should take 30 weeks over all. I am about 28 weeks into it. The readings are taken daily upon upon getting up in the morning upon digital scales measuring in 1/10th of a kilo gradiations. The daily variations are accounted for due to having a major dinner event the night before or over the two previous nights. The dark blue line is the morning reading and the white line is the before bed reading. The 2nd graph is from some 2 years ago when I lost some weight using the tea and got tired of that and went back to coffee (maybe I should combine the two) and then started putting the weight on at .19 kg per week. The coloured lines on the first graph are moving 7 (pink), 14 (green), 28 (blue) and 56 (8 week, orange, retreatment line 1) and 112 (16 week, brown, retreatment line 2) day averages which if doing weight loss graphs you should do daily on your spreadsheet program. On the 2nd graph different colours have been chosen for ease of reading. A base target pacing line is included in both graphs. To find out how myself and one other are doing it come to one of the dinners and I’ll tell you. Theoretically it will work for anyone to a similar degree as it is quite automatic (fine if you like the tomorrow diet) but you should keep records which I would like in time to see. You might even like to try the Weight Loss Game and earn some money for yourself and perhaps a charity (so much per 1/10th of a kilo lost) by getting sponsors (preferably lots of overweight ones) and donating half to charity, while losing weight ! I will maintain each person’s weight loss records (we meet weekly so you are in a supportive and motivational social environment) and it more than pays for your course !
